The cover of Batman 246 (Dec. 72) may be a lovely Adams illustration, but it’s also unintentionally very funny, at least to me.
The chapter titles of this Robbins, Novick, Dick Dillin and Giordano story are also quite funny, but none so bad as “How to Shaft a Robin!,” the first of these.
The plot has Robin kidnapped, and Batman running around to see him apparently get killed. But all of these are just dummies. Pretty much exactly what one might expect the story to be.
Batman finally finds the man behind this, an old foe wanting to torment Batman, in a wax museum.
